OK, I'll go ahead and say it.  I am so done being pregnant.  Beginning around Week 37, my body started decreasing the progesterone it creates in order to prepare my body for not being pregnant anymore.  Holy crap.  In case you didn't know it, I have hormone issues.  When I was 21, I was finally put on birth control when I passed out due to the pain ( Read more... )

lol aww sounds like youve got a lot to deal w/ these days... its almost over though... just hang in there! And sounds like youre in good hands w/ the husband, id say youve done pretty good so far.

I'm going to give you some unsolicited advice. The pain you describe associated with the menstrual cramping is not normal. Neither is the crazy hormonal fluctuations. The normal way doctors treat these type of problems is to mask it by giving ladies the pill, which does nothing to fix the problem. Tricking your body into thinking it is pregnant for a super long period of time is not healthy. There are other ways to fix these types of problems, some with supplements, etc. My cousin had a similar problem and was told that she would have to be on the pill pretty much her entire adult life, and it took about three doctors later (whom she was asking for a non-pill solution) to actually address her problem rather than mask it. She no longer has to be on hormones.
