ranting behind the post. basically, i got a new car. job is changing, hector is gone. friends are good and might be leaving this weekend.
watching the news, three children in baltimore have been decapitated. how ... 2004. where is ruben from AI when you need him? i can hear it now, 'decapitation 2004' ugh. sorry for the bad joke, really really really tired.
it has been such a long week, words can't even describe.
i'll be quick:
1. car got repaired, only 700$ instead of 1400$. after rental car fees, i got a few hundred dollars back for me. yay for that.
2. jeff haas mazda being dicks, taking too long, being too unruly. it wasn't worth the hassle. i went to edmunds.com and emailed 4 other dealerships. heard from three within an hour!
3. went to jay myer(sp?) mazda a little further away. approximately 5 hours later drove off the lot with a new car :-D i wasn't going to get the sport model, however they didn't have the "i" in stock. i basically got the sport model for 2,000$ less that has ABS and 8 airbags. my insurance loves me. i upped my policy from 15,000/40,000 to 50,000/100,000 and STILL only pay 48$ more every 6 months! i was floored! my car has such a high safety rating!
i have a 2004 Mazda3S. i drove off the lot with 2 miles on it and they paid my tradein. yay. not too bad a deal, around the same per month, 1000$ down ... the car is tons better than kerbey (my 2003 corolla).
still getting used to it, it's slightly larger and tons more powerful, being the 2.3L, 160hp sports model.
work has been insane... hector's last day is tomorrow. i've been slacking a lot .. however, when not slacking, working like mad. if i am at my desk, i am working... at least the day goes by faster.
trevor and i got like 2-3 hours of sleep last night alone. the rest of the week hasn't been much better. i go to work at 07:00 and he has tomorrow off. we leave for kansas friday night sometime. it's all about when we feel up to leaving, i think. too many decisions.
all in all, with the new car and the weekend nigh, things aren't too bad. heard that gavin is going to be here in a few months. we must have time to prepare!
that's about it, i think.
