The Tournament, Serenity

What to do, what to do. The (is there more than one?) Serenity movie was on tonight

Given that I've not watched the series, I assumed I shouldn't watch it. I imagine it'd be like tuning in to SG1 for the first time and watching The Lost City, then everything after that would pale in comparison. It looked cool on the ad, I'll have to check it out. And Nathan Fillion was surprisingly believable.

I did, however, watch The Tournament with a few mates over the weekend. I'm assuming nobody here will like it - it's a fight to the death tournament involving a $10m prize, tracking devices that explode if the deadline passes, and Robert Carlyle. I was initially surprised by his taking on SGU, now I can see why. His acting skills have waned over the years (sorry Bob).

Aside from that, a rather odd weekend. I'm sure a NZ celebrity considered taking out a restraining order on me on Friday night. I did another of those silly challenges at the gym, apparently the record on the net was 6m5s, I did it in 6m12s, even after two nights out in a row *sigh, I need a life*
