Yes! That t-shirt was from the last Billy Joel concert I attended. I couldn't find it so I went to my old house and searched until I did.
We got several comments about our t-shirts and then ran into another person with the same t-shirt as well. Since the concert was located downtown, it was quite the hub of activity. I felt like I was at D*C a bit, except for the lack of costumes parading about.
Strangely, it makes me wish that we had booked hotels for D*C. Not sure we'll find one now...
No, no Captain Jack, I'm afraid. He did a nice variety and I had forgotten that how funny he is. We had a great time. Some girls in line behind us, who were seeing him for the first time, commented on our T-shirts and then we ran into a lady who had the same one on as well. The guy sitting next to us said he had been waiting since 1980 to see Billy Joel. (Not sure how this is the first time since he seemed to be a huge fan other than he just kept missing the opportunity.) Strangely, he was originally from Brooklyn, NY. Afterwards, we asked if it lived up to his expectations and he was enthusiastically positive.
The audience was a hodge podge of age groups as you can imagine. De and I would have loved to be up and jumping about but really couldn't where we were seated.
