Mercy, but this is just fabulous. I love Teyla's point of view. Her thinking is so precise and that's such a contrast to the raw feelings she senses and experiences.

The voices are all just pitch-perfect, as is the close-knit sense of team/family. Ronon and John are both rather reticent guys, and it's great how Teyla is able to "read" both of them.

Thank you so much. I...hadn't thought of it in those terms, but Teyla is precise, not just in the way she speaks, and so I'm really glad the rawness of the feeling comes across.

I'm so glad you enjoyed! Thank you for such a lovely comment :)

I had an unusual experience reading this as I'd never read the original - missed it somehow. Needless to say that oversight has been corrected.

I love the way this story slots into the other, seamlessly making a greater whole.

I especially like the way you take John, who is comforting himself with the idea that his true nature is a secret, and show that that is neither true nor necessary, not when it's Teyla who knows.

Thank you so much! That's such a good way of putting it - I'm really glad the friendship between John and Teyla came through so strongly.

Really glad you enjoyed, and thank you for such a lovely comment :)

I really appreciated Teyla's POV here. I think this is such a fascinating thing that has been implied and poked at, but you really put it all together so beautifully.
