I actually liked T3. It doesn't really fit the current timeline, and it does play with the "no fate but what we make" theme in a way that a lot of people don't like, but I got a bit of a morbid thrill out of the ending (they went where I didn't think they'd go). I liked Nick Stahl as John. He really did look like he could be Michael Biehn's son, and I liked what they did with that character in the aftermath of T2, where they assumed they'd really won, so now his life feels kind of pointless if he isn't going to have the chance to be this great leader ( ... )

Interesting! I guess I don't really mind if the timelines don't all sync up because as you say below, we're dealing with branches at this point and not one defined thing.

I do like Nick Stahl quite a bit, so I guess I'll check it out. Thanks for your thoughts!

I liked T3 a lot. Better than T1, even. It's quite a different movie from the first two; Shanna is spot on about it being more about character and destiny than the usual blowing shit up. Nick Stahl is fantastic, absolutely my favorite of the John Connors out there.

It is not a happy movie. But it's a worthy end piece to the Terminator trilogy.

And the next time the SCC boxcar goes rolling by, I'll be looking for a hand up and onboard :)

I think we've got some seriously branching timelines going on here with the movies, TV series, and all ( ... )

I think Christian Bale cancels out McG. Right? :)

John's emo hair doesn't bother me nearly as much as Peter's emo bangs bothered me during the first season of Heroes.

John's sixteen. He's allowed emo hair.

Exactly. Plus, I imagine they have several different looks for him to grow into if the show gets picked up and for Future!John, etc. I don't love it, but I get it.

I still haven't seen the last new Star Wars movie. I was just, DONE. After the second. *sigh*

The 2nd one is really the only one I can tolerate, aside from all the good lightsaber bits in the 1st one. The 3rd one just... John still teases me because I spent the entire drive home from the theatre full-on pouting in the backseat. And it's true. There were some good moments, but the last half hour just made me so. very. angry. Like flames on the side of my face angry.

Sometimes, I think about trying to watch them all in order now that it's been a couple of years, like maybe it won't bother me so much now. But I just can't bring myself to do it. I'll watch the originals until my eyeballs fall out, but I just can't watch the Other Ones again.

Yeah. The first one was okay, I was so curious, you know? But the second one bored me to death, I think the only thing I liked was Yoda. *sigh*

I love the originals too, even the Ewoks.

Well, I'm not a big fan of T3, but it's badness levels do not in any way, shape or form approach Revenge of the Sith. And actually the first hour is pretty decent. It's the second hour that had me rolling my eyes with lame.
