21! I think that's a record high for me for these polls! You have some of my all-time favourites on your list - The Dud Avocado, The Brontes Went to Woolworths, Our Spoons Came from Woolworths, all the Provincial Lady books and Virginia Nicolson's Singled Out.
The Red Queen is her 'one-off' novel and I adored the first narrative- I recommend reading that and skipping the modern day counterpart because that doesn't really add anything to the story. I wasn't very convinced by the idea that the protagonist of The Millstone could have a baby and not tell her parents, but as I recently found out that my cousin did something similar, go figure...
What is Eva Ibbotson like? I've seen quite a lot of her books in the YA section of my local library and they look quite interesting but I've not round to getting any out yet.
I love Eva Ibbotson, and I imagine you'd like her too- as long as you don't mind that fact that her heroines are always a bit too good to be true. A Countess Below Stairs (or The Secret Countess) is my favourite of her romances and my favourite of her YA books is The Star of Kazan.
