Fosca by I.U. Tarchetti - no, but I have seen Stephen Sondheim's Passion three times in two different productions, so that's almost as good.

Love the musical too- did you see the Donmar Warehouse production? Fosca is back in print by One World Classics and definitely worth reading.

Yes, back in November, with the Colonel sporting an eyepatch after the on-stage accident that closed the production for a while! It was the original London production with Michael Ball that I saw twice. I'm not a huge fan of his, but I love Sondheim, and there's never enough being staged (that I can get to) for my liking.

I work in library supply, and Fosca has passed, not through my hands but across my screen, a number of times. It took me a moment, the first time, to remember why it was so familiar.

I had to submit a blank form as well.

I just finished Indiscretion yesterday! Really enjoyed it though not as much as A Little Folly. Like Georgette Heyer but minus the irritating slang and eternal descriptions of costumes, isn't it?

Your poll last year inspired me to keep a list of all the books I read this year, which was a really great record actually, so expect a similar post soon from me!

Happy new year!

Indiscretion was lots of fun! Georgette Heyer... I never read her as a teenager. I didn't care for The Grand Sophy, but Arabella won me over. I don't think I could read more than one of her books in one go as the slang does get a bit grating.
