» Part 1: The Basics «
1. What is your full name?
John Sheppard.
2. Where and when were you born?
June 14th, 1970. You don't really need to know where, do you?
3. Who are/were your parents?
Dad's name was Patrick.
4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
Dave. We don't talk much; actually I haven't seen him since the Atlantis Expedition. He went into Dad's business while I joined the Air Force.
5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
Besides Taxon? In Atlantis, City of the Ancients. The one that sank - but rose again. A lot of civilian scientists are there, but a lot of military personnel too. It's in the middle of the ocean.
6. What is your occupation?
Head Military Officer of the Atlantis Expedition. Second in Command under Elizabeth Weir.
7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.
6'0", give or take. Human (or Tau'ri if you prefer) and Caucasian. Brown eyes, brown hair, usually in the Atlantis uniform of black shirt and pants with the jacket and logo on it. No tattoos, a few scars.
8. To which social class do you belong?
Well, I was rich as a kid. Dad owning that company. Now a days I guess I'm higher middle class? Atlantis doesn't have a social class or taxes to worry about.
9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
I'd say being squishy like any normal human is some kind of physical weakness.
10. Are you right- or left-handed?
Right.
11. What does your voice sound like?
Like ... this?
12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
Usually reminding McKay that pressure and him make for saving our asses.
13. What do you have in your pockets?
I have way too many pockets to count that when I'm in full dress.
14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
Sarcasm. And the term "trolling", apparently.

» Part 2: Growing Up «
15. How would you describe your childhood in general?
Alright. Until I turned fourteen.
16. What is your earliest memory?
Being on a Ferris Wheel.
17. How much schooling have you had?
All twelve grades, University, Military training, and even took the MENSA exams.
18. Did you enjoy school?
It was alright.
19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
Military training. And being out on the field with Teyla and Ronin. They can kick my ass.
20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
Pretty much? Anyone that could fly faster than 200mph. Though I was into comic books.
21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
Dave and I were okay. Dad and I never got along after I wanted to join the Air Force.
22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A pilot.
23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?
Football. Watching, playing, eating hot dogs...
24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
Really the same things as I do now. I sort of never grew up.

Not really.
26. When and with whom was your first kiss?
Now why the hell would you want to know that?
27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
I had a wife. That answers that.
28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today.
I have the ATA Gene. That's sort of supernatural.

» Part 3: Past Influences «
29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
Agreeing to join the Atlantis Expedition.
30. Who has had the most influence on you?
Well, Dad had a pretty negative influence on me. After that it'd probably have to be Colonel O'Neill and Weir.
31. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Knowing when regulations are not going to help on the field.
32. What is your greatest regret?
Not being able to save Holland.
33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
I'd... rather not talk about it.
34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
Do black marks on my record count? Military record, that is.
35. When was the time you were the most frightened?
36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
Making a big fool out of myself on any new planet.
37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
Maybe talk to Dad more, been there for Nancy more. Lots of things. Why? Well why the hell else if you're asking the damn question?
38. What is your best memory?
Earning Lt. Colonel. Not a lot of people thought I'd make it past Captain.
39. What is your worst memory?
Koyla's raid against Atlantis.

» Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions «
40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
Pretty optimistic. Someone has to be. McKay is as pessimistic as it gets.
41. What is your greatest fear?
Screwing up like I did in Afghanistan and losing Holland.
42. What are your religious views?
If there's something out there, there is.
43. What are your political views?

44. What are your views on sex?
I like sex.
45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?
I've killed a lot of people. Probably will keep doing it. It's part of being in the military in a war.
46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
Well, the Wraith eat people. But probably killing in cold blood without a purpose.
47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
If it exists, I sure of hell haven't found it.
48. What do you believe makes a successful life?
Being happy and doing something that makes you happy.
49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?
Pretty damn honest. I let everyone know what I think.
50. Do you have any biases or prejudices?
Yup.
51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?
I refuse to do something that is completely retarded even if it's a direct order. You don't leave people behind.
52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?
I've risked my life for my team and Weir over and over. Will keep doing it too.

» Part 5: Relationships With Others «
53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
Like friends. We hang out, give each other crap, bond over football. The simple stuff.
54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
Pretty hard to say. They're all important.
55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
Weir takes a lot of crap. She's a pretty strong woman if you ask me. After that, it'd be a mix of my team. Ronin has a lot of crap he deals with as well. Teyla is the leader of her people, risking her neck with us everyday. McKay ... well. He's McKay.
56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
I already answered that.
57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.

This time, someone who can handle me living in another galaxy.
60. How close are you to your family?
Not very.
61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?
Career kind of prevents it right now. Human-eating aliens and all.
62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?
My team.
63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?
My team. They wouldn't be on my team if I didn't.
64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?
... Hey. That's like the last two questions.
65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?
Kolya. Despicable bastard who had a Wraith eat me, killed members of the expedition, and has it out for me because I bested him in tactics. He'll use anyone.
66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
Argue.
67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
Look at my occupation again.
68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?

Are you going to pull that Monty Python line if I answer?

I drink beer from time to time. Nothing too serious.

79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?
Too many things to list.
80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
Try to figure out skateboarding. I have it in my room...
81. How do you deal with stress?
By trying to beat it.
82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
A little of both together.
83. What are your pet peeves?
McKay trying to play the hopeless idiot instead of saving our asses.

» Part 7: Self Images And Etc. «
84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
Wake up, get dressed, check the roster of who is off-world, eat, and either prepare mission or mission reports. If it's a freeday I find something else to do. Make sure everyone is on duty, check for newest injuries, blah blah blah, stay up and listen to the ocean and watch the stars. Then go to bed.
85. What is your greatest strength as a person?
Depends if stubborn and being a smartass are strengths.
86. What is your greatest weakness?
I swear I answered that somewhere already.

Not sure. I like me.
88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
A little of both.
89. Are you generally organized or messy?
Organized. You have to be in the military.
90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
Tactics, math, and understanding people. Bad at? Handling with Koyla or the Genii in general, hopeless situations, and dealing with McKay.
91. Do you like yourself?
"I like me." Isn't that the same as 87?
92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? (If so, detail both sets of reasons...)
I could pull out the "exploring new worlds" bit, but. That's kind of over used. I was at a dead end in the military and the Atlantis mission pulled my ass out of it.
93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
Living is a pretty damn good one.
94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Still at Atlantis.
95. If you could choose, how would you want to die?
Pegasus Galaxy.
96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.
Just... make sure everyone knows how much they mean to me. Sort of sappy. Can we pretend I didn't say that?
97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?
Being a good comrade and friend. Never giving up.
98. What three words best describe your personality?
Smartass, Sarcastic, Fun.
99. What three words would others probably use to describe you?
Smartass, Sarcastic, Annoying. Probably.
100. If you could, what advice would you, the protagonist give to your antagonist? (You might even want to speak as if he or she were sitting right here in front of you, and use proper tone so he or she might heed your advice...)
Stop talking so damn much and just eat me already. Damn Wraith.
