Home to Santa Fe for Christmas. I leave on December 22nd and am there until January 2nd. So nice to have so much time there to visit my brother before he heads down to Peru, see my mom and the rest of my family and equally as important, to ski. the farolitos have always been my favorite. We ususally gather at my grandparents house, then when it starts to get dark, everyone goes outside and lites them all around the house and along the driveway. Then of course the guys, stay outside with the bonfire and have a little drinky drink. Ha!

I've never been skiing in NM... for that matter, I've only gone once in my life and that was in W. VA. But give me a tube, and I'll be doing that all day!

It really is a special night, definitely a family thing as you say. I have skied in W. VA a couple of times, its fun, probably better for tubing.
