X-Men Review
First, non spoilery stuff for those who haven't seen it. Overall, I found it to be really enjoyable. I love me some Hugh Jackman in leather and I will definitely go see any Wolverine spinoff. Okay. The Wolverine/Rogue kiss in X2 is an outtake. In the scene where Mystique is taking on all the female forms with Wolverine, there's a shot where Hugh grabs Anna and plants one on her, then grins at the camera. There's been a stack of fic written around that scene, btw -- Wolverine & Rogue dot com. There should also be a cap from said outtake, I think -- if you can download the blooper reel (I can't remember if it's on the DVD, will comment again if it is) you can see it there, too.
Comic-wise, Wolverine and Rogue have a massive friendship thing. He's been known the threaten Gambit post-Antartica (which is a whole saga thing I can't explain too clearly, but if you go to the "spotlight on Rogue" section of Uncanny X-Men you might get very confused but find out a bit about that (you might also get slightly squicked over the fact that Rogue/Magneto is canon in the comics). I've been wikipediaing all the X-Men stuff like crazy and I had read the Magneto/Rogue thing which is WAY WAY squick. And gross and WRONG. I did see a link somewhere on a site to the kiss from X2 but when I tried to look on war.com I couldn't find it, although I wasn't looking too hard. I do have the DVD, I'll have to take a look later when I get home as well.
And yeah, Mystique sucks. Too bad she took Rogue in initially.
Also, I'd love some fic recs. I'm always up for some good new fic for my new OTP.
