Steve Gey is one of the best professors I've ever had the privilege to be taught by. He cares for his students and his passion for the law and teaching makes it impossible for the students to not love him, irregardless whether they agree with his positions or not

Thanks. Unfortunately, it looks like he won't make it much longer. I heard the administration is worried he won't make it through exams this and next week and so they're anticipating having to suspend them for one day so students can go to a memorial.

And yeah, Professor Gey is like your crim law prof. He's the kind of guy who gets you really interested in a topic and makes you want to come to class every day. His death will be a huge loss to the area of First Amendment law, even more to our school.
