I am surprised that most folk dress like they are on a camping trip, not what I think of as international travel togs. JL sez that makes sense, since there are many sea days, and we are encouraged to think of the boat as home. I have to admit, I would happily wear jeans on the boat, but somehow, I cannot do that in a foreign port. I know that

I'm with you on dressing appropriately for travel (and cathedrals, for goodness' sake); I'm glad you're upholding the tone. I would never have thought about laundry on a cruise --or the lack of fresh air in a stateroom. It's these details--plus the actual sights seen, etc.--that allow me to live so vicariously by reading your posts. But have you been pickpocketed? Ihope not. And just how much *is* a martini? -3
