A netherworld Q&A session!

Hero: Ok, doods! So, Master Etna hijacked the airwaves, causing me to miss the latest episode of Invincible Steel Massimo, dood! That's not cool!

Fake: More to the point, doods, is that every time Master Etna's about to come here to screw around, she always pulls something like this. This is why the three of us are hosting this little Q&A ( Read more... )

Uh... ok... so... What exactly is HL and why do we keep getting it and random stuff whenever we fight them?

I don't know, this text color is pretty, too... <3

Oh, HL is a girls' best friend! It's like money in the Netherworld! The best part about fights with Netherworlders is that you get loot and money based on how well you do, dood!

See, there's this thing called the "bonus gauge" that fills up as you land consecutive hits on a single enemy. Some types of demons can fill it up more quickly, too!
Oh, but the easiest way, dood, is to do a Geo Chain!

A Geo Chain is caused when you destroy a Geo Symbol, of course! Then it blows up all the panels it's on, and if it hits another Geo Symbol, the second symbol blows up, and then it blows them up again, until it hits the clear symbol, wheich then explodes in an ultra mega explosion, dood! <3

How do people travel from the Netherworld to here, exactly? Is it a teleport spell, or some sort of vehicle or device? If the former, is there any way for one to block, prevent or dispel it? If the latter, how vulnerable is it to physical or magical attack?

Usually when anyone wants to go anywhere, we use the Dimensional Gatekeeper. She's a high powered demon who specializes in warp magic. She's not great in combat, though. Most Demon Lords have at least one in their employ. When a demon's defeated, they're sent back to the Lord's castle they departed from, and usually need to spend some time in the hospital...otherwise, a demon will return after finishing a stage. Demon Lords usually keep contact with their Gatekeeper at all times, and can call a retreat.

...It's a spell, then, I guess. But it definately seems different from the magic you ladies use.

Netherworld records show that Earth is reachable via a long space voyage, too, but thankfully, humans havn't progressed hyperspace travel, or any way to travel far enough to get there. In that way, the Netherword could really be thought of as a planet in a far-off solar system, really...

...though, that might just apply to places like the Celestial graveyard.

So what this person is using is transport magic, but neither Velkan nor Midchildan style. And defeating a "demon" is only ever a setback for it unless you followed it home and took out its whole infrastructure, or the Gatekeeper.

...we're going to have to keep fighting this woman until she gets bored, aren't we?
