I love to set off fireworks. LOVE TO. The whole event, from figuring out just how many separate artillery shells can be twisted together so they fire off at once, to the pleasant "surprises" that inevitably occur once the spark ignites the powder (a few years ago, I put in an artillery shell the wrong way and it popped up about 6 feet in the air

I was totally thinking about you last night, as I stood on my roof watching things explode, and getting all maudlin about Marymoor Park and setting fireworks off in the street in front of your house. Good times, good times.
Sorry to hear that you weren't able to indulge your pyromaniacal tendencies this year. Good luck with those paychecks.
