Hi, I found your journal because I'm a friend of modernelegance, and I noticed your footie icon! Now I see you're an intelligent fan who isn't into slash, shocking! :D Could I add you by any chance? Your other post said you weren't accepting friends, so if you're not that's ok. But if you are, I'd love to be add you if I could! I don't follow La Liga so much as Champions League and the Premiership, but I love football, and it's hard to find girls who aren't fangirly only (I say only because I'm a bit of a fangirl myself of course!) and aren't into slash.

Oh, and just in case this makes a difference, I don't post too much in my LJ anymore, but I like to read others' and comment on their journals. ^_^

OMG YOU'RE NOT INTO SLASH EITHER? Gosh, we're such a rare breed in the football fandom. xD

The main reason I'm not accepting friends is because of a little incident regarding a football-related gossip comm (it bears "ontd" in the name if that helps), and since you don't seem to be a member of it I'd say you're safe. :)

I do fangirl over a certain player (a lot...like, I can go on and on about him, and have...), but to me it's definitely much more than how hot a player is, it's about his attitude, his skills, and just the way he behaves on and off the pitch that matter more. I wax poetic about "my man" because he's one of those rare breeds of footballers now who isn't obsessed with money, and who defends his shirt and club to the death, and just shows exceeding amounts of class at every opportunity. :)

Ah, I assume you're talking about Xavi? :) I love that type of player! I haven't seen him too much, which irks me because I'd love to watch La Liga! I've gotten to watch maybe one Barca match this year, lol! (And no they're not my team... don't ask what my team is because I'm sort of a stranded fan at the moment, leaning toward Liverpool though.)

Definitely. I tolerate it because I'm in the fandom, but it's really not my thing (I wish people would right some "straight" fic though; I've written two but not many people have read them :( ).

Yes, Xavi's my ultimate football hero. I love him so much it's borderline creepy. xD Okay, not quite. xD I'm definitely not borderline creepy. I guess I admire him more than anything really, as a player and as a person he's just something, someONE who's not like everyone else in the football universe.

[My friends list calls me "Xavi girl". I'm famous. xDD]
