Whether he's on parole or not, a man was murderered and his murderer, while going to be deported, is not behind bars. Please explain to me how this can be considered justice for the crime committed.
In my opinion, if true justice was being served in this case, he would be behind bars and stay there until either his sentence is complete or he passes away, whichever comes first. The fact that he still has five years or so (I think) to serve is another reason why this decision is so wrong.
While I am yet to undertake my Law studies which I will be doing in the next few years as a Post-Graduate, I know full well that the Law has let down the Chang family badly in this case.
And people wonder why the public has no faith whatsoever in the justice system in this country.
