DETAILS
Things have been a tad quiet with this first plot, and we realize there were further details that we needed to provide you for this. So here we’re going to be as thorough as possible in explaining, and thank you guys for your patience with us. We’re learning, and we’ll work on filling those big shoes.
So about part two of Hold the Fort!
The Hawking and the Uesugi's joint efforts to fend off their attackers has taken out several of them, the small fleet of ships seeming managable. But just when things were looking good the quickfire ships they're manning retreat from the Alliance battle craft, and that may have been good news until the emergence of a much larger opponent. Rivaling the Uesugi and the Hawking, the
ship looks like some serious trouble and proves to be just that when it closes in fast, barely allowing Alliance ships and combat machines time to hurry out of the way, before it rams straight into the Hawking at full speed, punching a hole in the side of the craft.
Rather than taking on the Uesugi and Hawking at once, they've chosen to divide and conquer.
Those on the Hawking feel a tremor rack the ship while crew on the Uesugi are left looking on at the damage, and the purpose of this direct assault quickly becomes clear as the Hawking's attackers pour from their vessel into their damaged target. The smaller enemy ships return to engage those Alliance-issued craft in space, blocking them from returning to help the beleaguered Hawking. Meanwhile Commander Menaeus issues the order for fighters to hurry and use the transport to get onboard the ship, and not a moment too soon - the enemy soldiers are using the transport on the Hawking to more easily invade the Uesugi.
As it turns out these fighters are quite well-organized, and that might suggest something about their business in attacking Alliance craft. Each of them is encased in nearly identical armor of slim and durable craft, a black and dull beetle-like sheen to their surfaces. Helmets cover their facial features and successfully round off their defensive apparel. What they attack with seems to be a
standard issue weapon of a sort, a handgun that fires blasts of energy which can stun or kill a target depending on the power setting they select. Needless to say, if you get out of this with burns or a nervous twitch, it's not the worst that could be experienced.
These armored fighters are aiming for strategic locations in order to commandeer each ship, which means getting in their way will earn all personnel an attack or two for their trouble. While their first attack will be meant to stun if someone is a direct obstacle between one of these fighters and a goal-location, attacks may turn much more savage. The places they are aiming to secure are the following:
1. sectors 18-24 (docking bays) on the Hawking
2. the command deck of the Uesugi and Hawking
3. the Stella wing of the Hawking (where civilians are being guarded)
4. the Demeter wing of the Uesugi (where medical staff are being guarded)
5. sector 32 (the armory) on the Uesugi
6. sector 27 (data archives) on the Hawking
They can both be immobilized and terminated, but unfortunately DIVA's unable to lend the crew any aid as her systems were damaged by calculated enemy attack. You'll all have to rely on each other for this one.
Feel free to reply here with any questions or comments you may have, and to use the space for plotting if you like. There won’t be a general log for this second part of the plot, so we hope you’ll post as you like regarding this development. We also encourage you to give us your input on how this first plot is being handled, so we can assess how best to approach future occurrences.
