[to anyone who's been watching the repair or the ships afar, the engineers seem to have stopped, and the ships are looking quite well now. and for everyone else, all active spheres have projected a
familiar face for a little update]
Attention all non-commissioned and field-enlisted personnel. This is DIVA with an update on the status of the ships Uesugi and Hawking, and an important announcement.
Repairs have finally finished, and all crew members are requested to return to their respective ships immediately. Departure from the Atropos Biostation is estimated to be within twelve hours of this transmission--earlier, if possible.
The IACC-1071 Gauntlet has received a transmission suspected to be from the First, but have yet to verify the source. As thus, everyone is advised to remain alert.
DETAILS
Now, it seems we have some leads! It may really be possible that the First has contacted the fleet, but the Gauntlet must make sure the transmission they've received is authentic, and, ultimately, it's the Admiral's decision whether to give chase or not. The Admiral isn't the sort to make a hasty decision. We'll have to wait and see what he says...
In the meantime, once characters have returned to their respective ships and the fleet has set off, they'll notice something a little... odd. Why are there droppings and little footprints all over the place? They certainly weren't there before, and you'd think the engineers and maintenance drones would be a little more meticulous about the cleanliness of the ships.
Well, if characters would just look a little harder, they might find little, armadillo-like creatures scurrying along the hallways-- no doubt from the Atropos, because surely the Uesugi doesn't have fauna in the biosphere. You could catch them, sure, but it'll be a little too late to return them to the biostation. Plus, the little guys are fast on their feet and struggle hard when caught, so rounding them up might be a challenge.
If you have caught one of them? Send them to the Uesugi, please. The scientists working in the biosphere will have set up a special area that can hold them until the fleet returns to the Atropos--whenever that will be. The fleet is busy, so it might be sometime till we can return these little ones to their home.
This is a casual plot, so there's no need to panic and start thinking the stowaways will harm anyone and the ships. You character can simply leave them alone, if you wish, and clean their cabin of the mess they may have made. But don't kill them, please. They're still part of an important ecosystem!
Additionally, there will be an Activity Check soon, so we urge everyone to get out, post, and tag around more. Please feel free to use this post and any future mod post to plot with other players whenever you want.
As always, if there are any questions or comments, please don't be afraid to post them here!
Now for something a bit more serious. This game is your game and we want you to enjoy it as much as possible! So in that spirit, we'd like some information from you, the players, so we can continue to improve and bring you events that are fun and engaging. We're going to have a plotting post (and poll) up in the OOC community soon, so please wait for it! The poll is right here!
