When I was a kid, up until I left home for college, I loved computer games. Mostly strategy games and old adventure games, not typically very violent. However, I basically haven't played any computer games for over 8 years

I have recently become addicted to "Don't Starve". It's a survival game with a variety of very rich worlds and environments, a collection of fun and exciting characters each with their own special abilities and drawbacks, and now it even has a goal and win condition (though mostly I ignore that part). The game is available as a chrome app or a Steam download, and I believe it can be played offline, though I have never tested this. If that doesn't pique your interest, I'm just gonna leave you with two words: meat effigy.
