Boyue spends a lot of time in the library; he's probably usually looking at military treatises, or history of science and technology. He cleans up after himself well, and if he stumbles across anything left out in the sections he frequents, then he'll probably stop and put that back, too.
Cornelia is there on occassion... often to add to/edit/check for new notes on camp. Sometimes she works in the library, but she usually takes books out.
Alice spends more time in the library than anywhere else. Sometimes she sleeps in there too, and has a chair or something that her books and crap live in. She's normally researching immortality or reading fantasy novels, occassionally both.
Hiroki is there almost every day, probably. He spends most of his time reading fiction or literary criticism, from a couple/different worlds/universes these days, but sometimes he might be writing. He's neat and organized and hypocritically yells at people for being noisy.
His boyfriend probably comes in to fetch him or sit with him from time to time which likely results in loud whispering and PDA until Nowaki drags him out.
Mayuko is a library administrator! Her job is to order books for the library but since the library... randomly generates books to increase book-population, she only orders a small amount each month (20-50?). She's not sure where the money comes from, AND SHE DOESN'T ASK. She lives in the Pimp Cabin which is directly south of the library according to maps, so she's always nearby. She does shelve and work the front desk now that the staff has decreased, but she mainly works behind the scenes...
She's been here since Dec 2008, so if that makes her senior librarian now I APOLOGIZE for not keeping up. :(
1. Any and all reference books are "alive". The newest books are the most nippy, older books are a bit more mellow. Sometimes, other books become alive, usually when something big's going on in Camp.
2. There is a fireplace near... one of the sitting areas. It has a very heavy grate in front of it, so you can't just chuck books in there and light them up. Fires are usually reserved for winter, and carefully monitored.
3. There are individuals who live in the library! And people who work in the library have offices.
4. There is a very young orchard outside the library. It was growing when Camp landed in Cornville, so the library just accepted it. Assorted fruit. It does not produce much shade. IDK if any trees have produced fruit yet.
No worries! I am just painfully curious about the goings-on of the library. I don't think these things are usually threaded out, anyways, so I almost feel it's irrelevant...but I figure it helps the more anti-social/introverted characters build CR? Maybe?
