Well! I tried Second Life in the hopes of finding some interesting furries, and while I DID manage to find some neato furries... I also found that my computer has about an eight of the ram needed to PROPERLY RUN Second Life...

*sighs*

I need a new computer!!

You know, I think I may be swapping out my multimedia/DDR machine at some point... I'll check to see if you're interested in buying it once I get done setting up my new machine... which should have just one subsection upgraded (everything else would be a downgrade) in the field of disk-drives... it'll have a DVD drive and an 80gig HD (rather than my ghetto-looking CD drive, and 20gig HD that I have now).

The system is an Athlon XP with 256mb DDR RAM, and some other stuff, pending computer swappage.

I think second life needs at least half a gig, but preferably a full gig of ram... >,>

A full gig? Well, that's odd since their site says:

"Computer: Pentium III 800MHZ or higher, with 256MB RAM or more"

No, no. NO ONE has a computer that can run that game perfectly, it's too poorly programmed. My computer can run DOOM3 and it still chokes on SL.

hmmm.... maybe that makes sense. but I've heard of people being able to run it well! and seen movies of it running well!

How much ram does your computer have?

I have 512 megs of ram and 256 meg video card. I've seen it run well too... but it depends on where you are and such.

I've got a gig of ram and its still ran pretty choppy. At least that was a year. they might have fixed bugs.
