Yeah, they make me smile as well. AND the person(s) who gave them must know me in some way, because as a kid I was a HUGE My little Pony fan :D

Sometimes it's not about sympathy or even that you came across as begging (you didn't) but about having the resources and wanting to help someone and make their day a little brighter.
