Sniff!

Today one of TV puppies left Neighbours. Dylan! I loved you so much! Your awful hair, your bouncing, your scowl, your inappropriate behaviour! I can't believe that you are gone. You and Paul's relationship, in its real heyday, was one of the highlights of my television watching. Even in today's episode, which was supposedly all about Stingray, you were able to get in one last OTP!Squee for your loyal viewers.

DYLAN: You've got to help me, dad. My head's all screwed up!
KIM: I know about Paul.

Yeah, 'cos you know, having your sugar daddy kill your brother, after you've saved his life a bunch of times, and then trying to push him off a cliff would mess anyone up. Especially a simple little puppy like Dylan!

When Dylan first appeared on our screens, I must admit that I found him rather annoying. But then he blossomed. You could always count on him to cause a scene. You could always count on him to have unwashed hair.

And then he teamed up with Paul. Paul could see the diamond in the rough and that Dylan needed a father-esque figure, and he smirked a lot and cupped Dylan's face a bunch of times and bought him suits and gave him money. It was so good.

Then, when Paul was pushed off a cliff for the first time and Dylan rescued him and cried, and helped him get his leg chopped off, and there was guilt, and then Paul said "I didn't ask for his love!" and nearly everyone hyperventilated because of this. And the weird Izzy/Paul/Dylan love triangle of Dooom, and then Elle arriving and Dylan being all jealous, and competing with her.

And Dylan in jail, with a picture of him and Paul which he brought into the jail, and him trying to flush it down the loo, and him being there in the first place because his ex-bf was jealous of Paul, and then Paul being all frantic and paying someone to get him out of jail, and the hugging, and the "I'll never forget what you did for me!" Awww, my boys.

Then the slow decline of the relationship, Paul driving Izzy away and being mean, Dylan desperately attaching himself to Elle to make Paul jealous/get a little freakin' affection, Paul at first loving it and then turning on him, a battle of wills between the two and Dylan just getting sick of it, Paul trying to make him jealous with Ned but Dylan not caring because Ned is SOOO boring, Dylan punching Paul and then throwing him off the cliff for his second time, then crying, then saving Paul because deep down he still loves him... DEEP DOWN! because he didn't want to end up like Paul, but Paul has completely messed him up so he is going away to get over him.

I'm not sure I can watch Neighbours anymore. Only Paul is left who I absolutely adore, and he is not surrounded by Izzy and Dylan anymore, only Ned and Elle, who are, to put it mildly, NOT good replacements. I don't know what I'm going to do now. Sigh!

I hope that Dylan gets work after Neighbours. I am scared for him, though. He will always have a place in my heart, however, and on top of that him and Paul have a very special place in my heart, surrounded by fluffy hearts with 'OTP!!' written on them.

Goddam, I love my boys. Good luck, Dylan. Good luck.
