I am enjoying this story. It is amazing to me how "domestic" Sherlock is. Going to the restaurant to pick up the food and buy the wine, plus cleaning up the trash after dinner. I guess infatuation bordering on love will do that to a man. Looking forward to the second date.

I see this as Sherlock trying to make a good impression. I'm doing my best to show both sides of the story.

OH WOW. I really didn't think that I'd enjoy this premise quite as much as I did. And I did, oh yes, I really really did. Excellent writing and characterization. I'm really looking forward to more! :D

I have a few scenes I am planning to write but mostly I am letting the characters have their say on how they would act in these circumstances. They are being very chatty with me. ;)

Yes, Sherlock was a bit stunned at the turning of the tables, even more so than John realises yet. Always surprising our John.

This is a great start to what so far sounds like a fantastic fic looking foreward to more. I do have one question though is this after John has been to iraq or before.

He is on compassionate leave from Afghanistan. This becomes clearer in Ch. 2 thanks to your comment.
