I have to take issue with the idea of not relying on anyone else as I feel that while faith can be a great solace in this world it is not the answer for everyone, some of us require a less certain approach to the world as the answers found in religion especially from those who take a literal approach to the texts do not relate to the moral and ethical complexities of the real world, we need as human beings other real people in our lives to love, care, get angry at and the rest of the spectrum of human emotion as this is what gives real texture to our lives and this is the reason we should rely on other people and not just faith derived from a book.
