Law Students Can't Do Math

Gift & Estate Tax (a.k.a. Federal Transfer Taxation) is much more complicated than one would think, and yes, I know one would think it is quite complicated to begin with. I can't believe I'm posting this on here.... but aren't those rates progressive up to the unified credit amount? I might be completely wrong - but it's that kind of reasoning that's kept me from trying to calculate the tentative tax on my own!!

Yes, but I was doing a problem in the book, trying to find where they came up with their numbers in order to understand WTF was going on - you'll see when you do the reading. It's well over 50% numbers...
