::Survey::

Name/Nicknames: Chrissy/Jiangling
Age: 21
Birthdate: November, and that's all you're getting.
Height: 5'8"

Likes/Hobbies/Talents: My fiancé (more than anything), writing, drawing, otherwise doing creative things, feeling like I’ve done something helpful/meaningful for someone, successfully pulling something over on someone (guilty pleasure), exploring new places, feeling like I’ve accomplished something, feeling like I’m held in esteem (I rather enjoyed my entire introductory Chinese class looking to me for help/treating me like a Chinese language god), making money, hiking/camping/otherwise being out in nature and away from society, the smell of wood fires, animals (I have a particular affinity with cats and wading birds), singing
Dislikes: Obligations being forced on me, Busywork, Large crowds, Being stressed (though I seem to be frequently), Being kept from doing things I want to do/need to do to get rid of aforementioned stress, Being kept in the same environment too long (like sometimes I just can’t stand being in my dorm room), politics, morons, people who don’t carry their own weight, people who badly abuse authority, hot weather
Strong Points: Creativity, Intelligence, Vocabulary/wordplay, Emotional strength, Ability to learn quickly, Ability to function as a mediator, Ability to easily gain people’s trust, Ability to manipulate people if I want to, Willingness to try new things, Good memory for detail, Good at maintaining very close relationships when I feel it’s worth it, Self-confidence (when I’m not fighting off depression), Independence, Keen intuition (which I generally follow), Empathy
Weak Points: Sports/physical activities that involve a physically competitive aspect (As in I enjoy and am not too bad at tennis, archery, dance, etc, but don’t like most team sports, feel intimidated by them, and tend to be pretty bad at them. I far prefer a battle of wits to a battle of force), Mild tendency to bite off more than I can chew (as in too many classes and activities), Obsessiveness/one-track-mind at times (for a recent example, I keep talking about my FFXII fanfics, favorite quotes, observations, etc to a friend who hasn’t played the game. Thankfully he doesn’t seem to mind), Tendency to feel anxious or inadequate (this being the counterpoint to the aforementioned self-confidence), Sometimes have a hard time saying no to people (so I try to avoid having obligations to people in the first place aside from family and very close friends), Tendency to leave things unfinished
Fears: Not living up to my own expectations, not being able to make my mark on the world, not being able to get jobs etc that I want even though I think I deserve them (I've already been rejected from a handful of summer jobs and stuff that I was perfectly qualified for, so it freaks me out)

Favorite animal: Heron. I associate with wading birds. They're independent and work in an environment that's multiples things at once. They need both water and land, like I need outlets for fairly diverse interests and get bored if I'm doing one thing all the time.
Your favorite book or movie, and why: I don't know. I like a lot of books and movies. I like stories in the realm of sci-fi and fantasy, particularly distopian kinds of things that make you think about life and society. Let's go with Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke.
A favorite quote or song lyric: “With each passing day, the world finds new and exciting ways to kill a man.” -Balthier, from FFXII "And I believe that we'll concieve to make in hell for us a heaven, a brave new world, a promised land, a fortitude of hearts and minds. Until I see this kingdom is mine, I'll turn the darkness into light, I'll guide the blind, my will be done, until the day I see our kingdom has been won." -Kingdom, by VNV Nation
What you want to do for a living: For the moment, I'm a college student and I attempt to pick up money every once and a while by tutoring or selling artwork/doing commissions.
You find the journal of one of your friends that was left at your house. What do you do?: Call them and let them know they left it. I might be tempted to read it, but I don't think I actually would.
You find a wallet someone dropped on the ground. What do you do with it?: Turn it in to wherever it was appropriate to turn it in to, or if there wasn't anything like that, see if there was some sort of contact information in the wallet that I could use to get it back to them. Basically, I would do everything I could to return it, but if there was absolutely no way to get the thing back to it's rightful owner, I would probably just take it. Why waste it?
You get back from a tough job battered and bruised but successful, but the client refuses to cough up the dough! How do you react?: With annoyance and that's probably when it's time to turn on the manipulation skills.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?: I really have no idea. I can find reasons to want and not to want anything I can think of. I might go with something fairly subtle like for the vague quality of empathy/clairvoyance I already have to be more solidly defined. It's kind of useful.

Stupid section! Would you rather:
Live fast and die young, or die of old age in your sleep?: Old age. I want to have a long time to accomplish something.
Have loved and lost or never loved at all?: Loved and lost. Having met the love of my life I can say that without a doubt, though I hope the latter part of that phrase never applies to me.
Lose all your money or lose the person you care about most?: Lose all your money. Money can be earned again. People can't.
Have one really close friends or a lot of not quite so close friends?: One really close friend. I'm far fonder of deep conversations than idle chatter.
Be a computer or an old-fashioned notebook?: Computer. There'd be more to do.

Anything else?:
Because the mods are curious, where did you hear about us?: Um... some affiliate list. I think from dnangel_rating?

If you can, please suggest one thing (new question, question to be taken out, whatever) to make this survey better: (if none, may be omitted) I think leader versus follower would be relevant. For reference, I guess I fall into the leader category, but I prefer to work on my own and in a group I function better as a mediator or secondary leader than as the overall leader.

Pictures and/or Describe Yourself: : I don’t generally like giving out photos to people I don’t know (caution and whatnot, you understand), so we’ll stick with a description here. I’m a Caucasian female, 21 years old, 5’7”-5’8.5” depending on who’s doing the measuring, with long brown hair bleached blonde at the tips that I usually wear in a ponytail, but sometimes braid or do other interesting things with. If it matters, I have a cumbersomely large chest, which is nice for the sake of appearance but highly irritating in a number of other ways. I dress either very casually (and in my fiance’s clothes half the time) or in things the often prompt people to ask why I’m dressed up and wonder if they should be. Overall, I consider myself generally attractive.
