what a difference a year makes.

So lately, I can't stop crying. It used to be a monthly thing, every once and awhile I'd get a little sad and cry in my car. But now I cry at absolutely everything that reminds me of her. Which lately everything reminds me of her. I came home the other night, sobbing so hard I couldn't breath. It's a wonder how I made it home at all, I could barely ( Read more... )

You've certainly come along way. Feeling... exposing ourselves to painful memories... it's all part of being human and growing up. But it's also so nice to know she lives on in your heart. I'm sure part of you knows her spirit lives on, but as a human being your selfishness tells you, 'I so wish she was still here!' I get that feeling, even today about my Dad. Even though my Dad lives on in me, I think, "Man I wish he was still his in body". Actually there are quite a few people I get selfish about and want to see. I guess what helps is concentrating on all the good things; concentrating on all the positive memories. That, and knowing that we'll rejoin them all one day. If it hasn't happened already, some day you'll look in the mirror and something will tell you, "well... that was just like her!" I see my Dad in me every day... and I just smile... :)

Amen, couldn't have set it better. East 15 years ago my dad passed, I think of him everyday also, see him, smile mostly. It's always rougher around holidays too, especially this one for me.

Hey you. =) Sorry to hear you've been crying, although sometimes I think it's a good thing to let the faucets run. I haven't yet lost anyone close to me, but I think if I did, you'd say the same thing I'm about to say: I hate to see you feeling bad, but as you may be well aware, I'm here if you ever need me and you can blow snot and tears onto my shoulder anytime you like. =)

I know in times of grieving, I like to spend time with the things that remind me of that person. Like those pajama's and the Sex and the City. I think you're on the right track with how to deal with your emotions. Love YOu, see you in three weeks!!!
