The Organization is the name given the th company that Xemnas' and his family owned for many past generations. They deal with a numerous about of things around the city but mostly deal with trading and trade routes in and out of the city. They specialize in goods and transport. As well as being a sort of prestigious and expense set of merchants they also specialize in the study of science and medicine. They have a line of highly intelligent doctors and scientists whom study various things such as the workings of the human body and mind and developing chemicals and remedies to benefit the society and themselves.
This is was they have on the outside, viewed from all the people whom don't know what they do underneath the mask of trading and science. Behind closed doors and away from the eyes that might want to destroy or not approve of them, The Organization deals with a high amount of illegal trade and stocks. With no taxation on these items, many people come to The Organization in order to get certain items that are either to expensive or hard to get. They deal with the buying and selling of items and stock, but even if they claim there is no taxation the prices are usually much higher if it were on the regular market.
So The Organization is two faced in the people who know what they really do. Of course The Organization is very careful about what they do and are able to keep out of trouble.
