Yes that is completely absurd. Not at all sensible sounding like good old western tv show names like... The cabbage patch kids or killer tomatoes from outser space, or lobstermen from mars... Or... Apparently foodstuffs are related to crappy B grade horror somehow.
Cabbage Patch Kids are kids that come from a cabbage patch. Farcicle, true, but at least it makes as much sense as the Great Pumpkin or stork delivery.
Killer Tomatoes and Lobstermen were B-grade flicks and intended as such. No-one was supposed to take them as serious contenders for Academy Awards and such; even if they were, the titles are at least accurately descriptive and approximate grammatical correctness.
I may have been willing to let Pumpkin Scissors slideif it were intended to be schlock, just as with pretty much everything Tromaville produces (Sgt Kabukiman, NYPD ftw), but by confusing onions and pumpkins right off the bat, this is one series that has shot itself in the foot.
