Your friend couldn't find a job in Australia? That is really strange given the employment burst at the moment. If they can't find a job in Australia then maybe they need to do a course on interview techniques and writing resumes.

I know right? Of course he did have to try and find one in his field. A few times he got to second or even third interviews.

His resume is fine, from what I've seen, and he gets compliments on his cover letter.
I'm pretty sure it's the sponsorship issue.
