You Know You're Australian When...

I was just laughing at this post when I remembered a forward I received when I was overseas, actually, so it was all the more funnier to share with my Australian companians.

You Know You're Australian When... )

Oh, man, I know. When I read #17, I read it the other way around, that it makes sense to have $2 bigger than $1 and I was nodding and going "THAT'S right." And then I read it properly and was like "...oh yeah. WTF?"

Huhn. I've always said that understanding that "youse" is the plural of "you" is a sign of having grown up in Brooklyn, NY. Nor do we pronounce t's in the middle of words. Could it be that Brooklyn was actually annexed from Australia?

Yes, I never thought "youse" was particularly Australian (just maybe that a lot of Australians use it?).

Heh heh :) Yeeah...some people hate it, but I always laugh at the cliche stereotypes. (Don't tell anyone, I even promote them a little bit :/ )

There's two ways that stereotype can be taken - some of them reckon we're lazy good-for-nothings, whereas some word it: relaxed and fun-loving. They're basically the same thing, but I like the second one!
