After the massive outburst we had after Rose's article on the SciBulletin earlier today, this was like balm on an open wound. This is much much much more hopeful and thank God for it. it is only Tuesday - 4 days to Saturday. 4 long days to suffer through feelings of gloom and despair.
Now I feel a glimspe of sun rising at the horizon. Only a tiny glimpse though.

It does not sound too bad, doesn't it. I've just wondered in another post if Arthur & Merlin will have any screen time together with all the "fighting for his life" Merlin will have to do. Happy to hear that they will have something.

I'm not getting my hopes up only to have them dashed. I'm going to wait until the last episode and then have people tell me about it before I watch (and I might never watch it depending on how it goes, Colin Morgan's acting notwithstanding).

The "review" is so vague that I wonder what to think. That reviewer has been consistently slavish in his praise to the show and I'm unconvinced that he is aware what the majority of fans would consider important in a finale. He doesn't seem very in touch with spoilers either. I'll hold off on my hopefulness for now.

Well, I am a bit hopeful now while I am still sure it will be sad and it will maybe break my heart to watch the end of a story that should not be at an and end but at a point before the legend begins. I think the major complaint that is mentioned here in this article could be that the show was to far away from the legend - obviously with Camlann and Arthur's death they are in line with the legend again. To me that was not an important point I would have enjoyed some more interesting twists to that old sad story about the failure of an utopian ideal. There are adaptations with hopeless ends enough.
But in the article it sounds like at last TPTB managed to think of a decent way to tell the well known end. It would be a little bit less painful that way. We'll see. Still, I am worried for the characters I fell in love with years ago.
The work of the actors gave us wonderful moments despite the writing - that makes me wish that those last episodes gave them a chance for great performances. So at least there will be that.
