I'm surprised Merlin hasn't done a story where the eponymous hero loses his magic before now, but it was a good idea to explore in the show's penultimate episode.

I always doubt the integrity of these reviews. TBH, this episode is SO mediocre. Nothing particularly different from the finale of S3/S4, except the coming magic reveal thing we all knew would happen. Basically, they were all the same. And the acting, well, nothing special. Actors need some real stuff to give them the chance to shine, not this rubbish which happend millions of times before.

Because yesterday we got the very odd feeling to watch Eric Canton, who is now acting, instead of Merlin's father?
