My head against the Amtrak train window, waiting to reach New York. I suppose it's our train, though I'm not sure why, but it begins blowing its horn. I realize it's to the tune of Jingle Bells ( Read more... )

Pfft. I can honk out the tune for Jingle Bells while blowing my nose. Now THAT is surreal. I'll show you sometime :)

i keep getting phone calls from a 301 area code. i googled it yesterday and it came up as western maryland.

are you trying to call me?

because i called the number and explained to the people on the other side of the phone that i lived in michigan, and they are calling from maryland, so if it is a wrong number, they are way off.

but then they hung up.

they sounded like black people.

BLACK PEOPLE!!!

Where the fuck would you get that I live in maryrland?

Furthermore, you HAVE my phone number. You should know it ain't me.

But I'll forgive you if you put out.

There is a difference between unemotional and guarded. I tend to be the latter.

Have a nice holiday Robert! See you back at school.

There are people who would argue that being guarded is somehow defecient; people who want to know, share and help with whatever you're feeling. But I've always thought that people were far too willy nilly with telling everyone what was going on in their life, no matter how private. There's some sort of perfect sweet spot in between that I'm aiming for.

What do you celebrate? Christmas? Cccccchannukah? kkkkkkkkkwanzaa? Either way, enjoy.
