This --

It doesn't look very much like Japan, does it? It's much different than the pictures suggested.

Euphie, did the envoy take a wrong turn?

[An imperious, ringing voice comes after a short pause.]Prime Minister Kururugi! In the name of Lelouch vi Britannia, I demand to know why there is such a difference between your ... information and ( Read more... )

[She looked around, a little bewildered by all the strange surroundings. Her brother was right, it did not look anything like the pictures they have been shown.]

Let us ask--

[She turned around to do just that, only to find that they seem to have misplaced the envoy. Lelouch softly muttered words made her turn back to look at him, she was trying not to think about it. It was nothing unusual for one of the Imperial family to marry for politic advantages, but it did not sit well with her. Especially not to someone whom she have not even met.

Her eyes are downcast.

I think father is more interested in the advantages that the marriage would bring to Britannia.

But the words remained unsaid. Not that it needs to be.]

We will have to meet the Prime Minister’s son before we can judge, dear brother.

[She tried to make it sound optimistic.]

....Always so optimistic. [His smile is affectionate, not condescending. She is his favourite of their siblings -- aside from Nunnally, of course. She is his favourite individual, indeed, that he's ever come across.

He does not approve of marrying her to some foreign politician's son.]

...I've attempted to ask about our whereabouts. I've not yet been given a suitable answer. The rudeness I've encountered is ... despicable.

Is Japan such an impolite nation that its citizens cannot receive guests properly?

[approaches them cautiously--he knows this can't reflect well on Japan or himself, but he's in the same boat, and there's nothing he can do about it.]

[a curt bow, considering they are royalty, after all]

Lelouch vi Britannia and Euphemia li Britannia? [he can't help but get a good look at Euphemia. This was the girl they talked of him getting married to, after all.]

euphienatrix August 17 2008, 03:08:52 UTC
[Euphie turned to look at the other and gave him a slight smile in reply.]

I am Euphemia li Britannia and this is my brother, Lelouch vi Britannia.

[She watched him with curiosity. So, this is Suzaku Kururugi? He did not look like a bad person at all, but Euphie decided then and there that she did not like him. It was an unreasonable bias.]

...Is that you, Kururugi?

Then tell me, where are we? In the name of the Britannian royal family, we demand to know of our whereabouts!

It is.

I'm afraid I don't know. I thought I was just in Japan--and somehow, I'm here. I've heard people call it the City.

...As have I. The Tianzi is here as well.

Could this be some elabourate plot to gather world leaders together? It sounds far-fetched, but there is a slight possibility.
