Thanks for the gentle encouragementgebrauchmusikAugust 30 2007, 14:23:57 UTC
thanks, interfriends the best motivation is knowing that I can write about it on livejournal. Sometimes I really want to stop and then I just think: "are you going to tell the livejournal community that you had to stop today? ARE YOU?!!!"
In fact, I might even go so far as to say that the only reason I run at all is to impress people who have livejournal.
If you had read closely you would have noticed that I spelled a secret anagram message in my post: "HELPGHOSTSCHASINGME" And I always thought you'd be the best detective. It's okay- I still really like you.
you are a good exercise runner, however you've got a completely different 'panicky late-for-the-bus' run. that's the one where you don't lift your knees. that's the one we love.
You are intense.4_lettersAugust 31 2007, 05:37:14 UTC
Hey, looks like another similarity between you and I was, at one time, that we both used to take huge pride in running. That was before my knees got fucked. On another note, bike polo is totally insane, and you play it! I spotted some fixie hipsters at it beneath a freeway here one night.

We totally have bike polo here!!!!!!! I told them once that I sort of wanted to play and they said "come join us" and then I got scared and said "maybe later" and rode away on my bike. It is very dangerous and people are always breaking things. And I've noticed that my knees are starting to feel 'fucked' too...perhaps we should have thought about fancy anti-shock running shoes or ran exclusively on people's front lawns instead of the sidewalk. When will we, as a duo, ever learn Jess? WHEN?!!!
good job, brooke!!! i absolutely love running and i'm so glad that you're enjoying it. you rock!
p.s. bike polo is crazy. i have a friend that almost broke his ankle and there have also been a broken arm or two since its beginning here in Saskatoon only a few short months ago. beware of any sport where there are many people on the sidelines with arms in slings or have crutches!

YOu almost inspire me to run everytime.
Key word: Almost.
but i'm serious. i'm totally jealous of your drive.
I can't wait until you confess that invisable ghosts have been chasing you forcing you to run that far every 3rd day.
keep me posted.
