I need to see The Hobbit (not to mention a handful of other movies) but time is growing short for my annual trek down to Alabama and seeing my friends and family during the Christmas and New Year's celebration. But there's still some last minute shopping to be done today and some laundry to be done, as well as present wrapping etc ( Read more... )

Just wanted to drop you a line about The Hobbit--Glen and I just walked in the door from seeing it. I highly (highly, highly!) recommend seeing it in "XD-RealD High Frame Rate" at the Cinemark over at Chesapeake Square Mall. For such a crappy mall, it was easily the best theater I've been to in the area, and that includes the Hampton AMC 24. We were all pretty blown away by the picture and sound quality, and it doesn't hurt that the seats are this very comfy faux leather that you can lean back like a recliner. If the movie had been boring, I could've easily dozed off. XD Glen and I are already talking about seeing it again, so if you want company.... :)
