Well, whaddya know? As I was closing out that last post, a message popped up saying there is an update available for Semagic that allows the new iFrame embed code to be used! I just got through downloading it and we'll have to see how that works later as I'm going to get my complementary Veteran's Day lunch!

I've been busy, busy lately and all sorts of things in my life have been suffering for it, too! I've been meaning to go to this car show for years. Usually it was held on an island in Richmond, but recently they changed their venue to the New Kent Winery in New Kent, Virginia. There was quite the selection of cars and while it was obstensively a British car show, they have opened it up to a lot of other European makes ( Read more... )

I took a couple of goldsmithing classes from one of our Gem and Mineral Society of the Virginia Peninsula members, Anthony Hubbard. Seems that goldsmithing doesn't have to deal with the material uses so much as the size of the work. After the day at the Baltimore Grand Prix, I went to visit my friends Telf and Gene and join them at the Maryland Renaissance Festival in Crownsville, Maryland. Over Labor Day Weekend, I went up to Baltimore with my friends, Rob Lantz and J.R. Watson, to go to the second annual Baltimore Grand Prix...a weekend of Formula-1 racing through the streets of downtown Baltimore and the Inner Harbor. The main reason for me traveling to Charleston, South Carolina was to attend my cousin, Laura's, wedding and to see the family. The trip down was uneventful and the unseasonably cool summer temps kept up for the duration. Since I was digging in the dirt on Saturday and the bottom fell out of the sky that afternoon, I wasn't able to make the Hampton Cup Regatta that afternoon, but I went over EARLY on Sunday.
