they use cell phones and the internet to fight ...globalization.

and they goto their rallies...in jet planes...

I don't think they're necessarily stupid, it just doesn't behoove them to admit that their primary motive is for people to think that they're important. I venture that a majority of seemingly-altruistic ventures are just an act of social or mental masturbation. Not that that's necesarily bad... just an amusing observation.

Anyone in the upper ranks of a such movement should be bright enough that, at the end of the day after a few drinks, I'm sure the irony gets to them.
