The Happy Plateau

I've been on a health and exercise kick for the last six months. I've always had the motivation to exercise, but I've had to make great strides towards eating reasonably. It was more about adjusting my "life methodology", which has been to manufacture a dissatisfaction with the current state of things, whatever they may be, as a misguided motivator to improve. It's like a self-inflicted rat race that one can never win, and I have been struggling for years to adjust this behavior. I'm not sure how I'm doing it other than identifying and redirecting undesirable thought patterns before they take hold.
