I will be completely honest: Out of the three hours spent at the sophomore film screenings, two hours and thirty minutes of that time was a total waste. Out of the thirty worthwhile minutes, ten was spent smoking cigarettes outside the building

I've been observing this for the last three years, and I'm sure it will never change...

my take on this, is that most of these directing majors are 18-19 year old boys who feel that the camera is the extension of their penis, and I suppose a mock penis for the few girls doing the same shit. (I don't in any way mean to suggest that boys suck and girls rock; it's just that apparently women are not interested in film and the program is dominated by boys.)
