It’s faint, maybe she doesn’t want to be found, but what he had with her last night is more of a connection than he has shared with any living being since diving from the skies of his home. He doesn’t want to lose it, not yet.

oh, poor lonely bunny, willing to curl up next to a wildfire because it's warm... not that I don't love Gabriel/Kali, because damn but they were entertaining together.
