I have finally decided what will be our Christmas dinner this week, and I am throwing caution to the wind and trying ... *flash of lightning, crash of thunder* ... a recipe I've never made before! They said I was mad. They said I was tampering with Things that should be Left Alone!
Yes, I'm going to make coq au vin in the CrockPot! I have selected a recipe and bought the ingredients ... and soon, very soon indeed, we shall see what I have wrought. MwahahahahAHAHAHA!
I'm also planning on baking some French bread to go with it, because coq au vin is (IMO) more enjoyable if you have something you can use to sop up all that lovely wine-and-broth. So! Who else is planning something special to make the Yuletide tasty this week?
