Back from vacation

DragonCon was awesome. I will try to gather my thoughts and give a more complete report than that, but it was a blast. I could have done the same Con again four times, had a total blast and never seen any of the other four of me all weekend long. The Con ought to be longer, but endurance would rapidly become a limiting factor

I think I heard about that on the police scanner! :D

Or the one I heard about could have been Saturday night. The only clubs I heard about by name were the Star Bar and the Contour.

um, I don't usually listen to it, but it seems to have become a new pasttime since Sat when I discovered it while trying to find out what was happening with the gunshots I heard going off in my neighborhood. I still don't know what happened. This is the second weekend in a month I have heard gunshots. What the hell is going on?

It seems we have several gun-toting idiots in our city.

I've seen the second one before, but I think they intentionally omit police dispatches from that page (unless "aid response" is police dispatch).

The police talk on the scanner. Not everything that goes out on the scanner makes it to the 911 dispatch thingy, like you said, unless aid or fire dept is sent. Or so it seemed as I was watching and listening at the same time.

I feel so lame! I'm listening tonight, too! Haha! (cos I fetched the links for you :) Not watching tho. But something happened on my boss' street! And there was another shooting somewhere! :D
