one of mine *reads* (albeit at a rudimentary level, fancy phonics are a bit much for his wee brain meats). I am grateful that my pets can be reasoned with (well, as much as you could reason with a toddler, really, but there is reasoning to be had to that small degree).
Yes, today I repeatedly said to Ivy the work-place kitty, "Bad kitty. Bad, bad kitty." She left the building on Thursday which wouldn't have been so bad if she had a cell phone so I could call or text her to let her know I was leaving and that she would be locked out if she didn't get her ass back before 5pm. Instead, I had to put up Lost Kitty signs all over the neighborhood. Bad kitty!
