Anyone know a cure for homesickness?

I have an idea . . . I was looking at websites about Caceres and I found this interesting comic strip writer who was apparently born there. Maybe you could go on a mission to find out more about him . . .

I don't have a cure for homesickness :-( All I can say is that it gets better. I remember my first days I arrived in France, the chaos, the unknown and the smoke! Ugh, I can't say that I envy that feeling, but do know that it gets better! Give yourself a few days to settle into your new surroundings, but call or Skype your family and friends. When I was in Kenya (and France) missing home, I had my mom(s) send me care packages of my favorite things gum, candy, flip flops, magazines etc. which really helped! Big hugs, and can't wait to hear more. XOXO

Give yourself some time. Time to rest & recuperate from the trip. Time to get familiar with the neighborhood, then time to know the city better. Take care.
