So my hubby was trying to find a good resource for all of the candidates for the upcoming election.

The more he looks into each of them, the more he doesn't like either of them. NORMALLY we cancel each other out (he votes Republican, I vote Democrat) although we're both registered as Independant.  I thought he was voting for Obama, but he really ( Read more... )

I'm really impressed by the tax cuts/increases graph. I've not been able to find any data that puts real numbers on McCain and Obama's tax plans.

Also, I really appreciate the charts, especially the ones where it smacks you in the face that nobody has a better plan than the any of the other ones!

Obama's tax plan changed in the last 10 days. He is no longer giving as large a credit/refund to the lowest incomes (because it was pointed out he was giving people money who did not actually pay taxes at the lowest rate). In addition, the ranking Congressional Democrat, Rangel, is saying he will be looking for a compromise with Obama, and is proposing a tax increase of 4% on those making $150,000 or more (or $200,000+ for two people in a family), to make up for Obama's plan to remove the AMT tax ( ... )

Argh. I understand that the *majority* of the country 200K is not "average" for payscale, but in San Diego, you cant really afford a mortgage and live comfortably on less.
