So I've never really *done* the Christmas Card thing....

I'm actually thinking about starting it though.

Mhmmmm..

Cons:
time consuming
lots of paper waste

pros:
can show off your cute kids
let's distance family know you are still out there

I've never been good at cards but have been trying to make an effort the last year or two. If you want a picture card Costco has the best price! Only $15 for 50 cards and envelopes!

I do it when I feel like it. This year I just sent cards to my grandmother who is in hospice care, and I'm skipping everyone else (just don't feel like doing it!). I'm using 'just had a baby' as my excuse. :/

It's not too time consuming if you have everyone's address on the computer so you can just do a mail merge and print labels and have labels for your return address, then all you have to do is sign all the cards, add a picture or letter if you want, stuff the envelope and mail. Assembly line it and it's less than an hour.

Now that postage is 42 cents, I'm cheap and send an email. I do a few cards to those who don't have email (like the grandparents). When Scott and I got married we did a 2 page letter! Now I'm lucky if I do a couple sentences. I always like reading other people's letters, but I don't know if they feel the same about mine.
